If the installer came from the official website, click “More info” and choose to run it. The installer is currently unsigned because an annual code-signing certificate is costly.

Where is my data stored?
Installed edition: the %APPDATA%\Dawn Launcher folder.
Portable edition: the data folder in the application directory.
Which files in the data folder are important?
Data.db stores your Dawn Launcher data. Keep a backup of it.
LICENSE is the Dawn Launcher 2 license file. If it is lost, the software must be activated again.
How do I back up or restore data?
Open the top-right menu, choose “Features”, then “Backup/Restore Data”, and follow the on-screen instructions.
How do I upgrade?
Installed edition: install the new version over the existing one; existing data is unaffected.
Portable edition: back up the data folder, remove the old Dawn Launcher folder, extract the new version, then move the data folder back.
The software does not respond after launch?
Make sure the current Windows user has full permissions for the drive and installation folder.
If this does not work, install the software on the C drive (system drive) and try again.
Cannot drag a desktop shortcut into the app?
Run Dawn Launcher as a non-administrator.
How do I associate a folder?
Right-click a category and choose “Associate Folder” from the menu.
How do I use batch operations?
Right-click in the item area and choose “Batch Operations” from the menu.
How do I add apps from the Start menu?
Create a new item, select “Start Menu”, then search or browse for an application.
How do I add Microsoft Store apps?
Create a new item, select “Appx”, then search or browse the installed Store apps.
How do I turn off update prompts?
Open Settings, go to General, and turn off “Check for Updates”.
