A redesigned main interface

Switch the main interface style from Settings → Appearance → Interface Style.

Hide the main window title bar

Turn off Show in Settings → Appearance → Title Bar for more content space. Hold Alt and drag with the left mouse button to move the window afterward.

Enable it in Settings → Quick Search → Everything Search to find local files and folders directly from Quick Search.

Quick access

Configure window show/hide gestures and the pause/resume shortcut in Settings → General.

Double-press Ctrl or Alt to show or hide

Enable Ctrl and Alt independently, then press either key twice to toggle the Dawn Launcher window.

Show or hide with a mouse side button

Choose the forward or back mouse button and click it to toggle the main window.

Double-click to show or hide

Double-click the left mouse button and choose whether the gesture works globally or only on the desktop.

Pause or resume shortcuts

Set a dedicated shortcut to pause or resume access. While paused, only this shortcut remains registered; the app and tray icons can still open the window.

Custom fonts

Choose a typeface in Settings → Appearance → Font to change how text appears throughout Dawn Launcher.

Prefer relative paths

Enable Prefer Relative Paths in Settings → Items → Features. New items will favor relative paths for easier portable use.

Open URLs in a chosen browser

Configure the browser path in Settings → Browser, then edit a URL item and choose the browser to open it with.

Environment variables

Define variables in Settings → Environment Variables, then use %variable_name% in item paths, launch arguments, starting locations, or command-line tools. Update shared paths in one place.

Custom Quick Search placeholder

Enter your own hint in Settings → Quick Search → Placeholder to replace the default text in the search field.

Custom tray icon

Choose an image in Settings → Appearance → Tray Icon to replace the default system-tray icon.

Automatic backup

Enable backups and choose a location in Settings → Backup. App data is backed up to a folder there whenever the data changes.
